SPEOS the software for design, optimization and visualization of all lighting system in a global environment has been certified according to CIE 171 standards established by the International Commission on Illumination.
The accuracy of the OPTIS software results has been certified by all tests CIE 171: 2006 according to a methodology of comparing simulations with experimental tests.
The SPEOS accuracy is guaranteed by taking into account the optical properties of surfaces, materials and light sources. These properties are obtained by laboratory measurements which are available in the OPTIS Library. They can also be acquired on-demand with the OMS2, the optical properties scanner developed by the OPTIS Systems Team. These solutions are also implemented by the CEA for the optical control of the nuclear fusion reaction of the future ITER nuclear reactor.
This certification validates SPEOS algorithms based on physics laws. SPEOS is the only simulation software of light and human vision which is integrated into the most widely CAD / CAM / CAE applications used such as CATIA V5®, SolidWorks®, PTC Creo® and Siemens NX.
