2017 Simulation Forum

The SIA and its Technical Section "Simulation and associated methodologies" will organize in March 2017 a two-day congress on the ESTACA campus in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

March 15th, 2017 - March 16th, 2017 | ESTACA campus, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (Paris suburbs) | France | OPTIS Events

2017 Simulation Forum

OPTIS will be at Simulation Forum, March 15-16, near Paris to talk about Secure testing of ADAS/ AD functions by using OPTIS VRX LIGHT & SENSORS simulators.

Listen to Gilles GALLEE, Business Development Director for Autonomous Driving & Simulator at OPTIS, on March 16, 9:45AM during the ADAS SESSION and schedule a meeting today with one of our experts at our booth (first one on the right side when entering the exhibition area) during this 2-day event.

About the event

The automotive market is known to be very competitive, which leads manufacturers to strongly innovate both to expand the product offer and to optimize costs. These rapid and far-reaching developments obviously have consequences for engineering methods for design and manufacturing. Numerical simulation, one of the most effective ways to support engineering activity, is impacted and must adapt to face these new challenges.

What are these new needs of the automotive industry and by which methodologies of numerical simulation the engineer will be able to face these new stakes which appear under 3 main axes:

  • Integrate new materials
  • Develop tomorrow's vehicles: hybrid, autonomous and connected
  • Reduce development costs

Numerical simulation is in a situation of adaptation on the basis of its classical or innovative channels. The congress will be the occasion to have an overview of the trends and of the new methodologies for the numerical simulation to answer the new stakes of the automobile industry.
