Measure and certify illumination on the fly 

Measure, directly in your working environment, the illuminance on the complete 3D shape and compare it to the 3D specification map. Iterative design is so easy and fast that it becomes interactive. Adjust the design parameters to achieve your target on a 3D illuminated surface, saving you a lot of time and effort. 

Integrated and intelligent HUD design tools 

SPEOS HUD Optical Design provides a cutting-edge application, Interactive Layout, to make your design from scratch and on the fly, without any optical expertise. Thanks to real-time calculation, you identify immediately any packaging issues and correct at once. In addition to that, create optical systems based on several freeform mirrors able to project Augmented Reality information, thanks to SPEOS’ multi-freeform feature. Save time and design an AR-HUD in a few hours 

HPC, the game changer for time and accuracy 

Get closer-to-reality simulation results quicker! SPEOS true-to-life simulations, based on ray-tracing techniques, are now combined with HPC: the number of rays fired is very significantly increased, for an unprecedented level of accuracy. Now, generate high-end results in minutes, not days. 

LiDAR simulation and validation? Of course! 

SPEOS 2018 lets you simulate solid-state LiDAR for automotive applications. You qualify and compare the performance of LiDAR sensor from different suppliers objectively. You reproduce the LiDAR field of view to validate the positioning that fulfills regulations and custom OEM specifications. You also prepare calibration test for production by qualifying impact of LIDAR’s positioning variability. Finally, you try any what-if scenarios and validate ECU robustness depending on input disturbance. 

Paint with light, knowing it's manufacturable 

SPEOS 2018 provides powerful light guide design capabilities. In combination with an innovative manufacturing process, now design a qualitative lit appearance for large surfaces, homogeneous in intensity and color. And because nobody wants to see how it works, there is no visible mark (no rib, no striation) as the technology is based on micro-stripes. Finally, send the native design curves directly to the CNC of the tool maker for machining. 

Choose the perfect texture for your materials 

Carefully choosing the right textures inspires design and helps avoid unwelcome surprises, like a critical reflection on the windshield of a car. With SPEOS 2018’s texture mapping, reproduce the exact effect and the perception of textured materials virtually, to test and choose materials that are perfect for your project.
