OPTIS signs a pedagogical partnership with POLYAERO at the SIAE 2017

OPTIS equips POLYAERO with its simulation and virtual reality solutions for the maintenance of aircraft.

OPTIS Editor of Virtual Reality Prototyping Software announces today the signature of a partnership with POLYAERO, a training platform for the aeronautics industry

In the field of aeronautics, the maintenance of systems is expensive and the latter sometimes not available. The virtual reality today offers an indispensable alternative to replacing the actual maintenance operations and to simulate human-machine interactions on complex systems in complete safety.

HIM is an immersive virtual reality tool developed by OPTIS, which allows exploring in real time a life-size environment. Until then, many industrial groups - notably the big names in aeronautics - have already acquired this tool. OPTIS has today signed an agreement to equip POLYAERO for the virtual reality maintenance of aircraft.

“ The advantage of immersive Virtual Reality is that it will enable POLYAERO students to practice complex maintenance operations on different systems, and learn techniques and gestures they will be able to reuse during their career in real life.”

commented Françoise Bonnardel, POLYAERO Director.

Through this partnership, POLYAERO and OPTIS are keen to train tomorrow’s operators, but also to improve teaching methods by exploiting virtual reality technologies.

“We are very pleased to serve education through our solutions, and we are convinced that the AEROCAMPUS students can realize benefits by exploiting virtual prototypes. Virtual Reality encourages learning by experience as it makes it possible to retain much more easily the gesture and to acquire a real technicality by taking the place of a real user.”

said Jacques Delacour, CEO, and Founder of OPTIS.

Both parties have chosen the 52nd edition of the International Aeronautics and Space Show to seal their agreement and help the students today to take flight tomorrow.

A center of excellence in aeronautical training, POLYAERO is a platform for training in light aircraft, from helicopters to small aircraft. POLYAERO offers training courses in the field of aircraft support functions: logistics, maintenance, safety management system, aeronautical regulations and quality management system. This training center in Gap-Tallard is the second French aeronautical training center. For more information, visit www.polyaero.fr
